Getting in shape with a little exercise that might just change the world as Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, in cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chiang Mai Office, Royal Park Rajapruek and Chiang Mai Night Safari, invite everyone to join the 2016 Cancer Care Charity Bike Fun Run on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 5:30 am.
This charity event marks some 20 years since Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai staged its first Terry Fox Charity Run. All those strides along so many kilometres have so far raised an amazing THB 40 million for cancer research projects in Thailand, so the concept of fun with a serious purpose seems to be working. The Haematological Cancer Research Centre and the Genetic Cancer Research Centre at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital under the auspices of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, President of the Thai Red Cross Society, will receive all proceeds from this charity event to further their vital work.
Bring the family to join this charity and create special time together. For those who prefer not to run or jog, one can join the parallel bicycling event. As such a highly enjoyable Saturday morning outing is in prospect for families, joggers and health enthusiasts of all ages. Both the 3.5 kilometre run and 13.5 kilometre cycling routes are scenic delights. Various activities are lined up especially for the children with some nice prizes to be won. Most prestigiously, the largest group running together will be awarded The Queen’s Trophy.
From the picturesque Royal Park Rajapruek through the lush greenery and beautiful landscape of Chiang Mai and back again, the route is beautifully scenic. The senses of camaraderie will be strong as hundreds of runners get on their marks, get set and go for a good cause together. A little friendly competition for the prestigious prospect of emerging a winner in one of the categories adds further spice to the mix.
For a donation of THB 299 per person to join this annual event, the team at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai team will kit participants out with a complimentary official t-shirt, snack box and souvenir medal. Plus, everyone will have a chance to win some great prizes from Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and exclusive partners.
