Founded in 2009 in Normandy, France, 9 Trous 9 Chefs has become a popular event for food-loving golfers, with the event taking place each year in venues such as Normandy and Marrakech. Now, the east coast fairways of the Ernie Els Design course at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita will welcome the event for its Mauritius debut.
For each of the nine holes played, nine professional chefs who are based in Mauritius will be stationed at the tee box for the hole to serve a sampling of their chosen dish, accompanied by a wine pairing. With a number of chefs from luxury hotels and local restaurants set to attend, golfers may look to enjoy dishes such as:
Smoked duck breast, foie gras, mashed gorgonzola and candied artichokes
Lamb fillet in coconut crust, vegetable skewers
Pineapple and coconut declination
