Association of Corporate Travel Executives’’ (ACTE) educational conference titled ‘Air Transportation: Trends and Forecasts’ will be held on February 26, 2013. ACTE and the leaders of the business travel industry at this educational event will enhance understanding of the corporate travel market, network with colleagues, and openly discuss current issues.
The event will start with registration and Networking Continental Breakfast open to all business travel professionals – members and non-members followed by opening remarks of Annemarie Reininger, ACTE Board Member, Canada.
The programmed will kick off with a preview in layman terms of today’s world economy, what’s happening in Europe and the United States before moving on to the Canadian landscape presented by Kip Beckman, Principal Economist, World Outlook, The Conference Board of Canada . Kip will explore what we can expect to see in Canada and will touch upon some of the results of the sixth annual Canadian Business Travel Outlook survey produced by ACTE and The Conference Board of Canada on 2013 corporate travel budgets, spend expectations, and more.
This will be followed by ‘The NEXUS Way’ which will be presented by Canada Border Services Agency. If you or your travelers are spending unnecessary time at the airport or at border crossings it’s time to get on board with NEXUS. Get the ins and out about the Canada Border Services Agency’s NEXUS program and how travel can be expedited at Canada-U.S.A. border crossings by land, sea or air.
Also a lecture on ‘Airports: The Next Five Years’ will show how Canada’s largest airport facility operator Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA)is working with government, airlines and other stakeholders to improve the passenger experience.
Also, in this panel session representatives from Canada’s leading airlines will begin by sharing how they envision their carriers in the next five years. The floor will then be open for questions from the audience. Emphasis will be on how recent developments as well as changes and strategies going forward will impact business travel. Leave with new found knowledge of what lies ahead. The conference will end with Corporate Buyer Round Table facilitated by Carole Maher, Contract & Services Coordinator, Enterprise Procurement Branch, Ministry of Government Services
