The weather remains a major challenge for Air Greenland, who must change plans and schedules constantly. The storm that has been raging over the past two days on Greenland’s west coast, has now moved a little further north, and the wind has largely subsided in Nuuk.
On the other hand it’s snowing heavily, giving very low visibility, and also the runway is very slippery. The company’s Operations Department monitors of course, both the current weather and weather forecasts carefully and make sure to keep aircraft and crews ready to fly as soon as possible. Because of periodically unstable internet connections several places on the coast, Air Greenland appeals to the passengers’ patience. We assure that we fly as much as possible as soon as it is safe.
