Ajman expects tourism boost from UK market

unnamed-110-300x170The Ajman tourism delegation concluded its successful participation in this year’s World Travel Market , with majority of the participants expecting an improved tourist arrivals from the UK market this tourist season and in 2017.

 
Participants received encouraging feedback from visitors and decision makers from the travel and tourism industry who attended the three-day exhibition at London ExCel.
Khaled S. Al-Idrissi, Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing, Fairmont Ajman noted that discussions focused around contracts in 2017 and the ability to approach a joint marketing effort. “It was a very useful show which affords us the opportunity to meet with our partners from within the UK market and negotiate our tactical plans on a B2B basis.

 

 

Though our focus was on our main feeder market from UK, we have seen the emergence of a few accounts that we were not working on previously,” he added.

 
Albert Meow, Director of Sales and Marketing of the soon-to-open The Oberoi, Al Zorah, commented that visitors expressed great interests in the opening date of the resort, the services and its luxurious facilities. “We take pride in our ability to come together and work as a team to promote tourism in the emirate of Ajman. Our participation this year reflects our determination to further expand our reach and maintain a solid international presence to promote Ajman’s tourism sector,” he added.
