American tourist trampled by elephant in a national park of Thailand

Kaeng-Krachan-National-Park-300x132Amid huge political tension in Thailand the Thai police confirmed a death of an American tourist in a national park after being trampled by an elephant. The death was also confirmed by the US Embassy.

 

The woman went missing on January 13 in Kaeng Krachan National Park in the western province of Petchaburi said Police Col. Woradet Suanklaai.

 

Her battered body was found five days later in the woods and the injuries were severe as if trampled by an elephant. The woman was travelling alone.

 

The body has been sent to the forensic institute in Bangkok to determine the cause of death. The Thai police have said that the cause of death is trampled to death by elephants in a national park. The US Embassy confirmed the death without giving details.
