Bad Salzuflen became an officially recognised salt-water spa (‘Bad’) in 1914. This important event allowed the town to develop into a well-known spa resort renowned for its bathing traditions.
Today, the state spa of Bad Salzuflen is home to six clinics that offer various types of treatment. For allergy sufferers especially, the saline microclimate at the salt evaporation works is extremely beneficial.
The anniversary celebrations will open with an event at Bad Salzuflen’s theatre on 14 April 2014. Other highlights include the Summer Festival in the Park on 26 July 2014 and the Health Day in September.
