While winter temperatures are keeping the region chilly, the 2014 Progressive Insurance Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow returns to the Kentucky Exposition Center Jan. 22-26, bringing with it hundreds of new boats, RVs and hunting and fishing accessories, plus a variety of activities for all ages – in water or on land.
This year’s event also offers a variety of opportunities for family fun, including a chance to walk on water in Rockin’, Rollin’ Bubbles; an opportunity to try stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking at Paddlefest; and a chance to brush up on any outdoors skill through an extensive seminar series with topics ranging from RV Bootcamp and Boating 101 to DIY boat maintenance and hunting for wild game and game fishing.
The show’s youngest visitors have the chance to meet some creepy crawlers and learn about conservation camp or try their hand at fishing at the Kid’s Trout Pond, free for children 12 and under.
Boating, fishing, hunting and RV enthusiasts have the opportunity to view and compare hundreds of the newest boats and RVs, plus hundreds of booths showcasing the latest outdoor gear, gadgets and destinations. The event features competitive deals from more than 150 regional boat and RV dealers, plus dozens of outdoors-related companies.
Advanced tickets are on sale now and available through Adult tickets are $10, and senior citizens admission is $8. Children under 15 and active military (with military ID) are free. Event show hours vary by day:
Wednesday, January 22 – 5 – 9 p.m.
Thursday, January 23 – 12 – 9 p.m.
Friday, January 24 – 12 – 9 p.m.
Saturday, January 25 – 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Sunday, January 26 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
