ASAE Foundation, with major support from SunTrust Foundation, has chosen four winning projects for its Innovation Grants Program (IGP), which received close to 40 applications this year. Each winner will receive up to $10,000, and they will be recognized during ASAE’s 2014 Great Ideas Conference, March 9-11, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.
The four winners are:
Illinois Homecare & Hospice Council, Springfield, IL—Exploration Grant
Marble Institute of America, Cleveland, OH—Exploration Grant
Soroptimist International of the Americas, Philadelphia, PA—Exploration Grant
Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, Indianapolis, IN—Hybrid Grant
“We were impressed with the quality and diversity of the submissions this year, and the committee had a tough choice in narrowing down the winners,” said Michelle Mason CQIA, FASAE, CAE, chair of the IGP steering committee and managing director at the American Society for Quality. “The projects range from developing innovative processes and capacity to developing free education courses and an increased awareness about an organization. These projects will help associations enhance member value as well as impact their communities.”
ASAE Foundation received a broad range of applications from organizations of varied types, sizes, locations, and industries. Executive summaries of the winning proposals are online.
“SunTrust Foundation understands the importance associations bring to their community and the impact they have on society,” said Vince Wesley, Senior Vice President, and Manager of the SunTrust Not-for-Profit and Government Team in Washington, DC. “We value innovation and want to help organizations advance their mission, so they can help make a difference for their members, constituents, and industries they serve.”
