“Asian Construction Week 2016”, The Exhibition of Building & Construction Innovation,

impact-logo“According to the Construction Institute of Thailand, construction industry plays a key role in the country as it indicates the country’s development, generates high value and a large number of employment as well as distributes income to the general public.

 
Thai construction industry grew approximately 5.71% per annum. Last year it expanded 12.19%, the second highest growth during the past 10 years. In the first quarter this year, construction investment in Thailand totaled 315 billion baht, rising 8.32% from the same period last year. Investment from the government sector rose 11.62% from mega projects whereas investment from the private sector grew by 5.24% which was a good trend. In 2015, Thailand’s construction industry recorded 274.63 billion baht in value, mostly of large-scaled construction jobs overseas, excluding joint-ventures and small and medium sized construction projects”.
