Lift renewal at Redhill station
We will be renewing both lifts at Redhill early next year alongside the installation of a new lift from the booking hall. The existing lifts are coming to the end of their useful life and are in need of a complete overhaul.

The lifts will be out of use between 6th January and 18th March 2014.

This means there will be no step-free access to Reading and London-bound services if you are starting your journey at Redhill. Interchange is possible between these services as they depart from the same platform. There is no step free access for interchange between Reading/northbound Southern or First Capital Connect services and southbound/Tonbridge bound Southern or First Capital Connect services. However, there will be step-free access to Tonbridge and to/from southbound services via the rear entrance to the station.

If you are travelling to or from Reading or towards London during the renewals period and require assistance with luggage and empty buggies on stairs, assistance will be available for you at the station, please ask the nearest member of staff.

However, if you have a mobility impairment and cannot manage stairs, please call assisted travel on 0800 138 1016 the day before you travel to discuss your journey and where necessary alternative arrangements will be made for you.

We apologise for any inconvenience this essential work may cause.
