The Italian evening was held in Avanti Pizzeria, along the Shing Mun Riverside, which received exceptional response from guests. The wine dinner menu was specially prepared by Avanti to perfectly pair with the world exquisite Italian wine with Domini Veneti label, the best wines within Cantina Valpolicella Negar winery’s range.
Five Italian fine wines were well-selected for this special evening with mouthwatering cuisine prepared by Avanti. Along with the savory dishes and fine wines, Avanti invited the representative of My Cellar (HK) Wine Company, Mr. Pako Wong, to share his experience in wine appreciation during the night.
The wine dinner started with a Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore as a welcome drink. Five-course dinner began with Homemade Salmon with Lime Flavor and Botan Shrimp served with Stuffed Aloe and Vegetables Roll complemented by Soave Classico – Ca de Na’, followed by Iced Tomato Clear Broth with Rose Flavor served with Fresh Apple Jelly.
Pre- and main courses were Braised Cod Fish with Milk served with Chili Leek Cream Sauce paired with Valpolicella CL Sup. – Casetta Ripasso and the Slow-cooked Iberico Rack with Celery Root Puree created a perfect pairing with Amarone Classico. This exceptional menu was completed perfectly with a Chocolate Parfait with Raspberry paired with Recioto Classico.
