BFTD-06-300x214The Bangladesh, Foundation for Tourism Development and Association of Travel Agents will organise the BIFT fair at Bangabandhu International Conference centre said Rezaul Ekram Executive director of BIFT. A three day fair set to begin on November 28th in Dhaka, the fair will attract participants from USA, Europe, Middle East and South Asia Including the Indian States.

The fair will be organised in the Bangabadhu international Conference Centre. 155 stalls will be allotted to the participants at the fair. Ekram said at a programme will be held at Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.

There will be 25% discount on all tickets for tourists who will be travelling from abroad to Bangladesh to attend this fair. Ekram added air Malindo, Novo Air, Regent Air and United Air will also offer special fares for the event.

The fair will be attended by Travel agents, tour operators, hotels and resorts, hospital, national tourist organisation, airline, financial institutions, online sellers and tourism service providers of 25 countries such as USA, Canada, France, Mexico, Australia and Singapore etc. will be present at the fair.

The Mayor of West Sumatra, Indonesia, Tourism Minister of Tripura and officials of tour operator association from different countries will be present in the fair.

Despite negative publicity from the foreign media about the strikes and violence in Bangladesh, the fair will prove to be a success said Hakim Ali, President of BFIT

He pointed out that tourism in Nepal and Sri Lanka are moving ahead but Bangladesh is lagging far behind.

The minister of civil aviation and tourism Bangladesh, Tourism board, Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of commerce and industry, Bangladesh inbound tour Association will collaborate with the organisers.

BIFT is a non-profitable organization dedicated to the cause of tourism development in Bangladesh. It has successfully organized BIFT earlier. In addition, it, organised tourism fairs, tour and travel related programmes like road shows in Kolkata, London tourism expo, ‘photo exhibition, free guiding courses to drivers, seminars and workshop.
