BNE Property has launched an Expression of Interest for a new commercial development which will have Brisbane Airport Corporation as a tenant.
The Expression of Interest is for the development of a minimum 10,000sqm net lettable area commercial building to be situated on a site next to the existing Novotel Brisbane Airport in the Airport Village precinct.General Manager of BNE Property, Renaye Peters, said the development of this new high profile commercial building will reinforce Brisbane Airport as a quality business destination.“BAC continues to plan for the future and this new commercial development is a further demonstration of our commitment to promote economic opportunity and growth,” Ms Peters said.
“The is an extremely exciting development that will be a landmark for the precinct and showcase the design and planning principles that are central to the 2012 BAC Property Master Plan,” she said.“Creating a positive and efficient workplace environment that supports interactivity, collaboration and transparency will be fundamental to the project.“We believe that this Expression of Interest will generate positive interest and encourage creative and innovative thinking that will deliver a world-class class outcome of design and form.”It is expected the successful proponent will enter into a commercial arrangement with BAC for the ground lease
The Expression of Interest will be part of a two-stage assessment process. A formal invitation to offer is anticipated to be released to shortlisted proponents in March 2013. BNE Property has engaged RCP as project managers and property advisors.
