Brisbane-AirportBrisbane Airport Corporation Pty Ltd (BAC) has welcomed Jetstar’s announcement of new Boeing 787 flights between BNE and Bali, starting 16 April 2014. This will be the first scheduled Boeing 787 service at BNE.The new flights from Brisbane will be direct to Denpasar, running four times weekly and will add up to 2,680 additional seats each week.

Julieanne Alroe, BAC CEO and Managing Director said, “We are delighted to see Jetstar add new international services from BNE, a move which will provide even more choice and competitive pricing for the people of Queensland. “Brisbane Airport is embracing the value and variety provided by low cost carriers and we are working to facilitate more announcements like this in the coming years, which are sure to create more opportunities for the budget-conscious traveller.

“We are very impressed by Jetstar’s move to bring a brand new aircraft to Brisbane, making them the first to service this route with a wide body aircraft and a leader in providing an enhanced passenger experience at a competitive price.“Jetstar will be our third airline servicing Bali, joining Garuda Indonesia and Virgin Australia, and the relaunch of Jetstar international flights at BNE will take our number of airlines to 30.

“Indonesia is the sixth most popular destination for Australians departing BNE and this extra capacity paves the way for Indonesian visitors to move into the top 20 markets travelling to Brisbane”, Ms Alroe said.
