Brisbane Pop-Up explodes with record numbers

download12-300x89Brisbane’s annual business event showcase has attracted a record number of attendees and exhibitors.Brisbane Convention Bureau General Manager Rob Nelson said the recent Brisbane Pop-Up 2016 attracted 80 exhibitors and more than 350 business event planners.

 
“Brisbane Pop-Up enables event organisers to meet the city’s key venues, hotels and service suppliers under the one roof at the one time,” he said.“Not only did Brisbane Pop-Up 2016 attract a record number of exhibitors, it also saw the highest number of attending event planners in its nine-year history.

 
“It’s great to see Brisbane Pop-Up going from strength to strength in connecting planners with event products and suppliers.”Mr Nelson said 13 association and corporate representatives from Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra also attended Brisbane Pop-Up as part of a wider familiarisation of Brisbane’s business event offerings.

 
“The representatives discovered all about Brisbane’s new, improved and unique products and suppliers, discovering how our city is alive with new thinking and ideas when it comes to delivering business events,” he said.

 
Participants provided positive feedback about the famil, with one saying: “Fantastic, one of the best I have attended. There was so much variety and very well organised.”The famil attendees experienced Brisbane’s hotels, venues and restaurants, including the recently-opened Rydges Fortitude Valley and the proposed Howard Smith Wharves development.
