Britain beats India in tourist arrivals to the UAE

Dubai-Sports-City (1)India has come down to the third position in sending tourists to the UAE. The second position that it had enjoyed previously has now been taken by Britain. Saudi Arabia has maintained its position at the top for sending maximum tourists to the UAE.

 

Most tourists arrived from Oman, China and Australia. The Business Monitor International (BMI) expects the tourism industry to expand in 2015. They have predicted a 7.6 per cent year on year growth in tourist arrivals and 9.3 per cent increase in tourist receipts. A total $20 billion receipt is being expected in 2015 in the report published by BMI.

 

The Middle East will remain as the largest single source market for inbound tourism flow to the UAE.  Asia-Pacific region will take the greater market share with arrivals set to rise from 2.9 million in 2014 to four million in 2018.

 

There are plans and strategies being designed to attract more visitors from China India and Africa. Dubai is showing a steady increase in its tourism which indicate the possibility of its tourism vision for 2020 aimed to welcome 20 million tourists generating Dh300 billion (nearly $82 billion)in tourism revenue.
