Capture The ‘Spirit Of The Union’ on Instagram With #Celebrateuae42

AbuDhabiEvents.ae – the emirate’s official calendar and the one-stop online resource to discover the best of Abu Dhabi’s happenings – invites residents and visitors to take part in the UAE National Day Instagram competition for their chance to win amazing prizes.
To participate in the contest, people need to capture the ‘Spirit of the Union’ on their mobile devices and share it with the world using the hashtag #CelebrateUAE42. Those doing so from November 26 to December 2 have the chance to win one of the seven amazing prizes on offer.
“The number of prizes represents the seven emirates. Seven great packages, each with seven components, including five-star hotel accommodation, access to the emirate’s top attractions, thrilling experiences and mall cash vouchers,” said Mahra al Zaabi, Digital Development & Content Manager, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi). “The best photos will be reposted through AbuDhabiEvents.ae Instagram channel, and out of these we will choose the best seven photos.”
Each prize includes a stay at a five-star hotel – Al Ain Rotana, Emirates Palace, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, Qasr al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, Shangri-La Hotel Qaryat al Beri, Abu Dhabi, and The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi; two Yas Passes, giving access to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterword; three tickets to Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort; two 1,000 Dirhams vouchers, one for Marina Mall and one for Dalma Mall; and a Belevari Marine cruise voucher for two.
“The strategy behind this initiative serves two objectives. It is both part or our overall 42nd National Day celebrations and the Authority’s digital strategy to increase engagement on our social media channels,” added Al Zaabi. We encourage people to use their creativity and to express visually the ‘Spirit of the Union’ – whether it’s their favourite attraction, landmark, or National Day event.”
To enter the contest images have to be taken in the UAE, depict the 42nd UAE National Day celebrations, be tagged with #CelebrateUAE42 and shared on Instagram from November 26 to December 2, 2013. Winners will be announced on December 8, 2013, via the AbuDhabiEvents.ae social media channels.
