Celebrate the arrival of 2014 with friends or family in a magical setting beside the Thames at Macdonald Compleat Angler, Marlow, Buckinghamshire. You can choose from a romantic, candlelit dinner in Bowaters with a disco in the adjoining cocktail bar or join the gala black tie party night with dancing to a live band and disco in the elegant Regency Suite
The night of fun and frivolity starts at 7.15pm with a champagne and canapé reception. A similar, sumptuous four-course menu will be served at both events created by AA two rosette Head Chef Sanobia ‘Snowy’ Cutino. The array of mouth-watering dishes will include a pressed terrine of ham hock to start followed by crab and tarragon risotto cake then fillet of 21-day aged Scottish beef wellington and an assiette of chocolate and pear to finish; a vegetarian option will be available. To ensure a convivial atmosphere in the Regency Suite, guests will be seated on tables of up to 12 with smaller parties joining together.
Wherever you choose to dine, just after the midnight countdown, the piper will call you out to the lawn to welcome in the New Year with a magnificent explosion of fireworks reflected in the river, then you can continue dancing until the evening draws to a close at 1am. Everyone is encouraged to dress up for the occasion, black tie or lounge suit for gentlemen and best party frocks for the ladies!
The dinner in Bowaters is £139 per person, while the gala party evening is priced at £155. If you would like to stay overnight all inclusive dinner, B&B packages are from £255pp dining in Bowaters and £275 in the Regency Suite, all based on two sharing; extra nights are from £79pppn B&B.
