Samadhi—4D-Experience-of-Death2Samadhi is a grand new experience for tourists in China who are in for something surreal, a voyage through death without dying.

A new game designed by a Chinese company who call this experience as Samadhi—4D Experience of Death starting on September 2014.It will be completed at the end of August and is scheduled to open in September. Sessions will be conducted in Chinese. Tickets RMB249 ($40).

101-104, Building 2, Gongyi Xintiandi, 105 West PuYu Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai

The game infuses dramatic special effects with a series of challenges and sounds to make the process as credible as possible. Participants will have to compete in a series of challenges to avoid dying.

The losers are made to lie in a conveyor belt and are transported through a fake funeral home incinerator to simulate death rites.

The cremator will use hot balloons and light projections to create an authentic experience of burning. After this process participants are transferred to a soft, round, womb-like capsule which signifies rebirth.

The Winner too will die as death is something that everyone will have to experience no matter how much they evade the immediate perils.

The makers of the game Ding and Huang went through a series of observations into the actual process of cremation for putting up this game.

Huang felt that he became driven to this kind of a game as he was in a spiritually unrewarding career. He had money but did not know how rich life was.

While helping the dead in the 2008 China earthquake, he became so close to death that he wished to share this experience with others in a game form. There are similar ventures in Taiwan and Korea too.
