Cincinnati “Revs Up” Convention Year with Annual V-Twin Expo

Cincinnati USA welcomes back the V-Twin Expo February 2 – 3 for its 13th consecutive year, making it the longest running convention in the history of the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).

“We couldn’t be more proud to welcome the V-Twin Expo back to Cincinnati USA,” said Dan Lincoln, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA CVB. “As we continue to grow and build on the recent success and development of our region, this type of event is a cornerstone for ensuring future years of achievement.”

Sponsored by Easyriders magazine and produced by Paisano Publications, the Expo is the only exclusive v-twin tradeshow in the world, open only to dealers in the v-twin Industry. A v-twin is any two-cylinder motorcycle engine produced in a “V” shape. The retailers and manufacturers attending the Expo will focus on the service, maintenance, accessories and customization of these machines.

Expo booths will feature retail discounts for attending dealers, interactive in-booth demonstrations and will host industry notables. The event will also feature more than a dozen seminars. The event is not open to the public. Convention highlights include:
Saturday, February 2:
8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Exhibit Hall Open
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. “Growing Your Business Via Search Engine Optimization” presented by Kent Lewis, President and Founder of Anvil Media, a digital marketing agency in Portland, Oregon. Lewis was named American Marketing Association’s Marketer of the Year in 2012.
12 – 1 p.m. “Shop Talk With Bert Baker” presented by Bert Baker, Owner of BAKER Drivetrain, an award-winning after-market motorcycle product developer.  Baker was previously Senior Project Manager to Manual Transmission at General Motors before breaking in to the V-Twin industry.
Sunday, February 3:
9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Exhibit Hall Open
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. “Enforcing Design Patents with Earl LeVere” presented by Earl LeVere, Esq. from Ice Miller LLP. LeVere was named an Ohio Super Lawyer in 2012.

Throughout the past 12 years, the V-Twin Expo has brought nearly $7.6 million in estimated economic impact to Cincinnati USA. The event has attracted thousands of attendees, contracting up to 6,000 room nights per year. This year, the Garfield Suites, Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, Millennium Hotel and the Westin Hotel are in the convention room block.

The region also welcomed the International Hoof-Care Summit this week (January 29 – February 1) for its 10th annual convention in Cincinnati. More than 1,200 room nights were contracted at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza and the Millennium Hotel. Attendees generated an estimated $350,000 in economic impact.
