Machu-PicchuPeruvian eco-tourism experts, Machete Tours announce that the 2014 season of Daypack Only walking and camping tours along the Inca Way, from Cusco to Machu Picchu, re-starts on the March 1st.

Participants in these four day/three night treks carry just a light rucksack for their personal gear, everything else is taken from campsite to campsite by a team of personal porters, and they will arrive at the next overnight stop to find tents pitched, drinks waiting and nutritious local food being cooked in the traditional manner by a travelling chef.

Machete Tours offers guaranteed departures every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from March 2014 through to January 2015 and the maximum size of each group is just twelve participants.

This bespoke service includes all local transfers, returning to Cusco by train at the end of the journey, bilingual certified guides and a team of personal porters to carry camping and trekking gear. Accommodation is in high-quality mountain tents with self-inflating sleeping mattresses and there are also separate dining and toilet tents.

The UK Tour Operators and Travel Agents price is 344 GBP pp based on two participants sharing a tent (published price: 445 GBP pp). If you require a Private Service (with only your clients in the group) an additional of 125 USD (76 GBP) pp will be charged.
