Delta Air lines Introduces Full Flat-Bed Seats on Flight Between Santiago De Chile and Atlanta

Delta Air Lines  today announced a significant upgrade to its service between Santiago de Chile and Atlanta with the introduction of full flat-bed seats in BusinessElite cabin and available from March 31st, 2013. The full flat-bet seats have a full 180º recline and have oversized personal entertainment screens allowing travelers to stay rested, entertained or productive on route to their final destination.

“The arrival of the updated airplane B767-300 allows Delta to offer full flat-bed seats on the service to and from Santiago, underscoring our steadfast commitment to bringing our customers a superior travel experience,” said Nicolas Ferri, Delta’s vice president— Latin American and Caribbean. “Delta’s frequent business travelers tell us that the comfort of flat-bed seats with direct aisle access is a must-have on long-distance flights to and from the U.S. The design of Delta’s new BusinessElite seats optimizes each passenger’s space, giving them privacy to work or relax in order to arrive at their destination ready for a day’s business.”

The flat-bed seats will now be included in the following service commencing March 31st.

Santiago de Chile (SCL) – Atlanta (ATL) Additionally, as part of enhancements to the BusinessElite on-board services, Delta announced last week its new amenity kit from Malin+Goetz and Tumi. Delta premium cabin customers already enjoy industry-leading food and wine with Latin-inspired meal selections by Chef Michelle Bernstein and elegant wines chosen by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson along with a variety of digital entertainment options and premium pillows and quilted duvets.

As part of its US$3 billion investment in product, airport terminals and services, Delta has remodeled and built new Delta Sky Clubs™.  Delta’s newest club located inside the new Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal in Atlanta offers a wide variety of amenities to international customers. Part of the amenities offered at this club; include showers, complimentary cocktails, beer and wine, snacks, WiFi and Satellite TV, as well as access to personalized flight assistance, meeting space, and conference rooms. The Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago de Chile Delta has a Sky Club located on the second floor of the terminal near Gate 17 where members can relax and increase their productivity during their travels.

The new flat-beds seats in the BusinessElite cabin are now available for booking through www.delta.com. For any request, customers can also receive travel assistance in Spanish before, during and after their travel through Delta’s real-time Twitter channel @DeltaAssist_ES from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
