Delta Further Enhances BusinessElite Experience with New Amenity Kit

Published on : Saturday, February 2, 2013

Delta Air Lines is partnering with premium travel, business and lifestyle accessories brand Tumi and skincare product brand Malin+Goetz to provide an enhanced amenity kit in the intercontinental BusinessElite cabins of its international flights. The new amenity kits will debut onboard later this month.

“Delta continues to find new and innovative ways to differentiate the BusinessElite experience for our customers and the introduction of new amenities from Malin+Goetz and Tumi is a sophisticated way for us to enhance the time they spend with us in flight,” said Joanne Smith, Delta’s senior vice president of In-Flight Service.

“These products are a unique, additional element to our BusinessElite experience, which includes full flat-bed seats, an industry-leading food and wine program, hours of digital entertainment options and premium pillows and quilted duvets.”

The amenity kits will feature Malin+Goetz’s Neroli Hand & Body Lotion and Lip Moisturizer, a Tumi eye mask, socks, shoe horn, shoe polish, comb, dental kit, tissues, antibacterial wipes, earplugs and a pen. The products will be contained in a Tumi case made from the brand’s exclusive, virtually abrasion-proof ballistic nylon fabric.

“Our partnership with Delta is an ideal alliance for Tumi, as our products have long been associated with a quality travel experience,” said Alan Krantzler, senior vice president – Brand Management for Tumi. “Our customers look for ‘best in class’ products and services in all aspects of their lives – Delta, Tumi, and Malin+Goetz is a perfect combination that delivers on this promise for the in-flight experience.”

“It has not gone unnoticed that Delta has been spending a tremendous amount of effort and energy to develop a truly great airline,” said Andrew Goetz, co-founder of Malin+Goetz. “Design, quality and customer service are the backbone of our DNA at Malin+Goetz – Delta and their customers embrace the same. We are thus very excited to partner with Delta to expose our brand and products to likeminded individuals in an environment with so much synergy.”

Delta’s intercontinental BusinessElite service, available on all long-haul international flights, includes a five-course gourmet meal paired with a wine menu curated by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson. A Panasonic personal entertainment system featuring an extensive library of movies, TV shows, music and games on demand and a full flat-bed seat – each with direct aisle access, premium pillows and quilted duvets complete the first class experience.
