jersey-logo (1)It is already one of the biggest event venues in the Island and now Delta Production Services has helped the Royal Jersey Showground (RJS) to become one of most well equipped too.

The Trinity based technical production and event management company has transformed an empty shell to a workable event space by installing a permanent trussing and lighting system in the roof ensuring that events can make the most of amazing lighting effects for atmosphere and that all important ‘wow’ factor.

Delta Managing Director Simon Gasston said,
“We’ve had this space available to cater for large scale events for many years and it has always been a well used venue. But now with the work we have completed, the RJS offers the same space and technical infrastructure as the Great Hall did at the Hotel de France. Around 90% of clients who used to host events at the Hotel have already booked the RJA&HS for their functions this year.”

Marquee Solutions is also planning on giving it real stage presence with black draping which can be used to create false walls and close off areas of the room to make an event more intimate.

The Royal Jersey showground can host up to 1,500 people for a sit down dinner but the space can be used for a whole host of different events.

Commenting on the use of the RJS Claire Bradbury Event Manager at Chique Events said, “The closure of the Great Hall at Hotel De France has had a huge impact on the events industry in Jersey. For large scale corporate events there really isn’t much choice on the island so it’s a saving grace that Delta and Marquee Solutions have come together with RJS to work as a team, putting semi permanent structures in place to improve the venue and make it a great and flexible working space for corporate events.

As event manger for The Rock White Collar Boxing which took place earlier this year we had a fantastic experience at RJS, and this weekend I’ll be working on the 10th anniversary celebrations of The Jersey Construction Awards for The Jersey Construction Council. These awards usually take place at Hotel De France but this year we’re moving it to RJS and I’m confident of another successful and exciting night ahead.’
