Development of Eco Tourism in Indo-Bhutan Border areas of Assam by AMWJU

assamA four-member delegation of the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union participated in a one-day seminar on ‘Development of Eco Tourism in Indo-Bhutan Border areas of Assam’ at Baksa, Assam along the Indo-Bhutan border on December 1.

The seminar jointly organised by Manas Chowk Eco Tourism Society, Baksa and Journalists’ Union of Assam underlined the need to develop eco-tourism at Baksa which would be a step to boost tourism industry in the country besides boosting the economy of the indigenous people inhabiting the area, an AMWJU statement said.

The delegation included general secy GA Naocha, standing committee member Ratan Luwangcha, Press Club Management Committee members Asem Bhakta and Bikramjit.

According to a press release issued by the union, the seminar was organized by the Manas Chowki Eco Tourism Society, Baksa and the Journalists Union of Assam with the main objective of developing the eco-tourism along the Indo-Bhutan border especially at Baksa.

During the seminar, 20 photos of landscape/ gardening designed by Asem Bhakta were showcased, said the release.
