As part of its Aerodrome Emergency Plan, Auckland Airport is undertaking an emergency exercise on the morning of 27 November 2013.
The exercise is intended to test the airport’s response to an emergency situation as well as meeting Civil Aviation requirements.
This exercise will simulate an aircraft emergency incident at the airport and will involve the participation of Auckland Airport Emergency Services, St John Ambulance, New Zealand Fire Service and New Zealand Police.
There will be traffic management in place along Puhinui Road but there will be no disruption to flights.
