A guest rooms and bathrooms update at Four Seasons Hotel Austin is on track for its September 2014 unveiling.The multi-million dollar redesign, which is being overseen by Cole Martinez Curtis & Associates of Calistoga, California, is expected to bring a look of “residential elegance” to the downtown Austin luxury hotel.
Among the noteworthy enhancements to the guest rooms are new travertine tile entryways, dark wood desks with designer chairs and plush carpeting in muted burnt orange tones that pay homage to the city’s beloved university. Lighting, artwork, fixtures and soft goods – including draperies and valences – will also be refreshed.
One upgrade guests may especially appreciate is the installation of the all-new Four Seasons Beds that are fully customizable to their preference for firmness. Austin’s Four Seasons is among the first of the brand’s US hotels to receive the specialized beds, which feature the latest technology and offer the ultimate in luxury bedding.
Guest bathrooms will also get a more spacious and modern feel with travertine tile flooring, walk-in glass showers, sliding doors and elegant dark wood vanities. Finishing touches include back-lit mirrors, upscale fixtures, high-end hardware and low-flow toilets.
“While we’re constantly updating and upgrading the spaces in the Hotel to provide more value to our customers, this enhancement is more extensive than most,” says General Manager Rob Hagelberg. “I’m confident both first-time guests and loyal long-time customers will enjoy the final product, which strikes the perfect balance between refined Four Seasons elegance and Austin’s relaxed vibe.”
Because work is being completed on a floor-by-floor basis to ensure minimal impact to summer guests, the full project is expected to take approximately four months. Completion is slated for late-September.
