Delight your children this holiday season by spending an afternoon hanging out with Santa Claus onboard a Hornblower Santa River Cruise. Indulge in a cup of hot cocoa and a delicious cookie, while Santa mixes and mingles with families. Don’t forget your camera – as Santa will be making the rounds to take photos with all the kids. Avoid the lines at the mall, and the children will be able to spend more time interacting with Santa – an inexpensive way to treat your children to an extra special holiday experience.
You and your family will cruise the Sacramento River for an hour, soaking in the breathtaking natural beauty of this historic and important waterway. Kids tell Santa everything they want for Christmas, and enjoy holiday-themed activity sheets, while parents can sit back, relax and enjoy a wine, beer or snacks available for purchase from the onboard snack bar in a family-friendly, safe environment.
Hornblower will also be hosting an onboard photo contest. Take a picture of the whole family and post to Hornblower Sacramento’s Facebook page, and use the hashtag #santarivercruises. The most festive family photo will win a family four pack for our Historic River Cruises in 2014. One winner will be chosen per week and announced on Facebook.
Santa will be sailing on Saturdays and Sundays, from November 1st through December 22nd. The River Cruises depart every hour and half, from 10:30am to 3:00pm. The cruise boards 15 minutes prior to departure. Take the last tour of the day, and you can disembark from the cruise to enjoy the Theatre of Lights performance in downtown Sacramento.
