Four-Seasons-Hotels-and-Resorts-300x150Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, the AAA Five Diamond property set amid 1,500 acres (600 hectares) of coastal peninsula at Bahia de Banderas on the Riviera Nayarit’s Pacific oceanfront, invites guests to spend the holidays enjoying special offerings and events that celebrate the spirit of the season and the magic of the destination. In the weeks leading up to New Year’s Eve, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita will debut a series of festive experiences designed for couples and families.
With temperatures averaging 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Celsius) in December, guests are encouraged to escape the cold weather and embrace Punta Mita’s tropical breezes, sunny skies, and white sandy beaches. Beyond the warm winter weather, the Resort’s holiday lineup – from kids’ cooking classes to a teens’ beach cook-off and a six-course gourmet tacos and wine dinner – is sure to create memories that will last a lifetime.
“Four Season Resort Punta Mita shines brightest during the holidays when we invite guests to relax and rejoice in the soulfulness that embodies this distinctive destination,” says John O’Sullivan, general manager. “Our goal is for guests to spend quality time together, enjoying a unique program that combines the tradition of the season with the natural beauty and culture of the destination.”
From December 21, 2013 through January 3, 2014, guests of Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita will enjoy nightly bonfires at Las Cuevas beach; one special night with a dessert lounge at the Boutiques of Punta Mita that features local chocolates paired with Mexican wines and tequila; a couple of nights with complimentary Mexican wine and cheese tasting at Cora bar during sunset and Chef’s Table dining at Aramara restaurant on Friday evenings; a “pop-up” night club sponsored by Tequila Don Julio in the Resort’s Toki ballroom; one special all-you-can-eat ice cream fair at Nuna, the Resort’s infinity-edge pool, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm; a special beach boutique that features Mexican designer Regina Donde’s latest collection; and a family circus party in the brand new Takua Event Palapa ballroom. Additionally, special holiday events will include:
Kids for All Seasons: The Resort’s award-winning Kids for All Seasons program, one of the best resort kids clubs in the world, features a program of activities in the Nunutzi Game Room, a daily mocktail hour, and nightly movies with delicious snacks. In celebration of the holidays, Kids for All Seasons will also offer cooking classes for children 9 to 12 years old at Aramara, one of the Resort’s signature restaurants, and a lively beach cook-off at Las Cuevas beach for teens 12 to 17 years old.
Gourmet Tacos & Wine in Ketsi: Guests will enjoy a six-course gourmet tacos and wine dinner featured at the Resort’s Ketsi restaurant. This specially-designed menu incorporates inspiration and flavours from each of the Chef’s unique cultures and backgrounds, including Executive Chef Philippe Piel.
Kermes Night at Ketsi: Spend a festive street-fair themed evening at the Resort’s signature restaurant Ketsi. Kermes night will feature traditional Mexican cuisine, mariachi music, cultural vendors and a cigar roller.
Christmas Dinner: In celebration of Christmas, Ketsi will serve a traditional holiday buffet featuring the signature style of modern Mexican cuisine. Asian-influenced Aramara Restaurant will also offer special festive menus and select a la carte choices on both December 24 and 25, 2013.
New Year’s Eve Celebration: For New Years’ Eve, Four Seasons brings the majesty and splendour of the Paris Opera House, with a tribute party to the musical Phantom of the Opera. Guests are encouraged to show up in their best theatrical attire. The festivities will flow from putting a delicious end to 2013 with the dinner buffet of a tantalizing selection of local and organic foods featured at tables set up around the Nuna Pool. Following dinner, guests will enjoy festive music to count down to 2014 and an exceptional fireworks show on the beach to cap off the evening. Party favours will be provided for everyone to ring in the New Year.
For a more intimate New Year’s Eve celebration, Aramara will offer a la carte dining as well as a New Year’s Eve special menu. Bahia, by celebrity Chef Richard Sandoval, will offer its traditional New Year’s Day buffet brunch from late morning through the afternoon.
Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita takes advantage of its spectacular natural setting to provide complimentary healthy offerings as the holidays approach as well, including: Four Seasons Fit Boot Camp Lessons, designed to build strength by mixing traditional calisthenics and body weight exercises with interval training, pushing the body to the limit during these group sessions; Yoga at The Rock, which takes place at the outer most tip of the coast atop a rocky cliff overlooking the azure ocean, and includes a combination of breathing, stretching postures and meditation to soothe body and mind; and holiday season hikes such as the invigorating climb to Careyeros’ Hill or the mellow Ruins Hike, both of which present phenomenal views.
