Great Gatsby Party Nights

Make up a group large or small, dress in your best party outfit, or perhaps a 1920s costume, and come and experience some Christmas magic at a themed Great Gatsby party night in Macdonald Compleat Angler. The hotel will be hosting fun festive join-a-party nights on selected evenings from Thursday 4th until Saturday 20th December.

Walk the red carpet on arrival at 7pm and enjoy a welcome drink to put you in the Christmas spirit before sitting down to a sumptuous three-course festive meal. Later put on your dancing shoes and join everyone on the dance floor until after midnight as the hotel’s resident Dj plays some great music from a more recent era.

Macdonald Compleat Angler party nights will be held in the elegant Regency Suite which holds up to 120 people. The menu begins with a gateau of flaked salmon and John Ross Jr smoked salmon followed by traditional roast British turkey with all the trimmings for mains and a white chocolate cheesecake with coffee and petits fours to finish; a vegetarian option is also available. Prices are from just £39 per person including festive novelties and the entertainment.
The Regency Suite can also be booked exclusively for private parties with special festive packages including table novelties, disco and room hire. Alternative themes and additional evening entertainment can be arranged offering a great chance to personalise your party.
Christmas party planners can take advantage of Macdonald Compleat Angler’s early bird offer; parties booked before 1st November will receive 10% off pre-ordered wine. And everyone joining a Christmas party at the hotel can stay overnight at a special rate from £120 B&B per room per night.

Festive Lunches, Dinners and Afternoon Tea throughout December

Between Monday 1st and Tuesday 23rd December, the hotel’s new AA two rosette Riverside restaurant will be serving a seasonal lunch and dinner menu with two courses from £23.50 per person and three from £26.50 (excluding Sunday lunch and the jazz dinner on 11th December). A full afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries is from £27.50pp or for a treat add a glass of mulled wine or champagne.
With views over the Thames, the Riverside Restaurant offers outstanding modern British food matched by a fine cellar. Lunches are relaxed and informal, while in the evening it’s the perfect place for magical festive dining by candlelight with its stunning views across the river to Marlow Bridge and the floodlit parish church.

Dating back to the 17th century, Macdonald Compleat Angler takes its name from Isaak Walton’s world-famous book on angling.  It’s now a peaceful haven perfectly placed for fishing, golfing, boutique shopping and exploring royal history in nearby Windsor and Henley.  Most of the 64 rooms have river views and some are in sight and sound of cascading water over Marlow Weir.
