Half Yearly Season Tickets (HST) and Yearly Season Tickets (YST) To be Introduced

Indian Railways will introduce Half Yearly Season Tickets (HST) and Yearly Season Tickets (YST)with effect from 1st April, 2013 in addition to the existing provisions of Monthly Season Tickets (MST) and Quarterly Season Tickets (QST) to all categories of passengers including senior citizens.

Half Yearly Season Tickets shall be chargeable at 5.4 times of the monthly season ticket rate whereas the Yearly Season Tickets shall be chargeable at 10.8 times of the monthly season ticket rate. As in the cases of monthly and quarterly season tickets, no refund will be permissible for HST and YST also.

However, the Izzat MSTand Free MST for students shall continue to be issued o­nly o­n monthly basis. Similarly, the concessional season tickets issued to students shall be issued o­nly o­n monthly / quarterly basis.
