IBTM India Confirms A Strong Line Up Of Indian And International MICE Industry Buyers

hero_2014_ibtm_india_home1The importance of the outbound MICE market from India, one of the fastest growing global economies, is reflected in the number of Hosted Buyers heading to Chennai for IBTM India 2014, which will take place at the 5-star ITC Grand Chola Hotel from 3-5 September 2014.

 

Independent research carried out by Euromonitor International highlights that Indian businesses are fast becoming more international and increasingly seeking new and unexplored destinations across the globe for MICE and business travel. The forecasted tourism growth is on the rise and it is predicted that by 2017, outbound tourism to the UAE will grow by 51.4%, Malaysia 53%, Australia 44.6% and Singapore 42.5%.

 

This year’s qualified Hosted Buyers from associations, major corporate companies and MICE agencies have an annual average budget spend of up to $7 million each and have stated a specific interest in placing business internationally including the following regions: South Pacific, China, Hong Kong, Mauritius, U.S. and Canada, Antarctica, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Czech Republic and Switzerland.

 

 

Hosted Buyers from all sectors will be attending IBTM India 2014 including the following Indian buyers: Deloitte Shared Services India Pvt. Ltd., HelmsBriscoe International, Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Incentives and Conference Planners, Global Cynergies, Omraaga Corporate Services Pvt Ltd. and Uniglobe Indica Travel. In addition, the following international Hosted Buyers have also confirmed their attendance: Association of African American Studies and Affiliates,

 

The Corporate Team, United Nations Association of Germany, SME Development Bank Malaysia, World Council of Young Doctors & Health Administrators, Alhamrani Group of Companies, University of Adelaide and TE Connectivity. Guendalina Rampazzi, Head of Market Development MICE, Switzerland Convention and Incentive Bureau, explains, “IBTM India is very important because India is a growing market for us.

With one of the largest South Asian communities in the world, Toronto has been the successful host of several of India’s finest entertainment and incentive events including the IIFA awards in 2011 and this year hosting 4000 incentive delegates from Amway India.
