Fáilte Ireland A group of highly influential US media were in Ireland this weekend enjoying the sights and sounds of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow as they took part in a joint Fáilte Ireland and Guinness Storehouse showcase.
The group, which included representatives from Fox Media, the Huffington Post and bloggers from Veetravels.com and Gobbles, Giggles & Gulps, with an overall reach of approximately 40 million, have already enjoyed visits to Castletown House and the Cliff at Lyons before a busy few days in the capital, centred around a visit to the Guinness Storehouse where they enjoyed beer and food pairings from the recently opened 1837 Bar & Brasserie. Wicklow then took centre stage for the final few days of the trip with visits to Mount Usher Gardens and Glendalough.
Speaking about the trip, Head of International Publicity, Ciara Sugrue said –
“These trips are a wonderful opportunity for overseas media to come and experience at first-hand what Ireland has to offer and they are pivotal to positioning our different regions in front of a global audience.
