In the week leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII, football fans can experience Super Bowl Boulevard Engineered by GMC, which will feature many fan interactive experiences that will excite any football fan, including a 60 feet high toboggan run that will be fun for the whole family. Super Bowl Boulevard runs for 13 blocks along Broadway in Midtown Manhattan, and it starts just a block away from the Long Island Rail Road’s hub at Penn Station.
“Even if you aren’t lucky enough to have a Super Bowl ticket, Long Islanders can still be part of the excitement by visiting Super Bowl Boulevard in the days leading up to the Big Game,” said LIRR President Helena E. Williams. “It should be a fun family experience for football fans of all ages. And the LIRR will leave you just steps away from all the action.”
The LIRR has added special signage and extra personnel at Penn Station who will help direct fans to Super Bowl Boulevard. And the Railroad will augment off-peak service to and from Manhattan by adding extra late afternoon and evening trains on four branches.
