Maine Troop Greeter Bill Knight Dies at 91 on Christmas Day

Bangor-International-AirportBangor International Airport will remember Bill Knight for his tenacity and ever present role with the Maine Troop Greeters. We will remember Bill as always firm in his desire that every service member passing through the Airport would have a warm welcome and a thank you for their service.

Bill was instrumental in the development of the Maine Troop Greeters organization into what it is today. He worked with the Airport for years as the liaison with the informal organization and then with BGR to create a formal organization that would continue the group into the future.

We thank him for his service to our country and to the many troops that have passed through our doors. Bill’s legacy will be felt every time a troop flight lands at Bangor International Airport.
