united-a350United flight 4062, operated by Silver Airways that left Dulles International Airport, Washington headed for Morgantown, West Virginia was forced to reverse course Friday morning and return to Dulles when the aircraft had mechanical difficulties, airport officials said.

The United flight, which was scheduled to depart Dulles at around 8 a.m., landed safely back at the airport around 9 a.m., according to airport spokesman Rob Yingling.

Yingling said that a mobile lounge was brought in to transport passengers back to the terminal.

There were no incidents of injuries, and there was no disruption in airport operations, he
said. Yingling added that the plane was a Saab 340B, a small propeller aircraft. He could not say how many passengers were aboard the flight, but according to a profile of the aircraft on SeatGuru.com, the plane has a capacity of 37 seats and is used for “very short haul” flights.
