national-restaurant-association-300x125 (1)The National Restaurant Association today announced a new alliance with business-advocate Job Creators Network (JCN) in an effort to provide entrepreneurs and business leaders in the industry with the tools they need to educate restaurant employees about the public policy issues that directly impact restaurant job opportunities.

“The restaurant industry is essential to our nation’s economic growth as a leading employer providing opportunities to one in 10 working Americans,” said Dawn Sweeney, President and CEO of the National Restaurant Association. “The industry increasingly faces legislative and regulatory challenges that have a negative impact on our businesses and the opportunities we provide. In order to ensure our industry’s continued job growth, the hardworking men and women that make restaurants the cornerstones of their communities should have the resources they need to stand up for restaurants.”

NRA members will have free access to JCN’s Employer to Employee Communication Program (E2E), which provides non-partisan education tools to help business owners inform their employees about how government policies affect their workplace.

“We know 70 percent of small business owners believe Washington is hostile to their efforts to create jobs, and it’s getting worse,” Job Creators Network President Alfredo Ortiz said. “The best defense against bad public policy is a well-informed public, and our partnership with NRA assures employees of this vital industry will know how Washington impacts their jobs.”

Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, a leader within JCN, highlighted E2E’s benefits during a special presentation at this year’s NRA Show.
