Select highlights from the series include:
“Where to Find Cowboy Powder” – Meet professional big mountain freeskier and Freeskiing World Tour champion Jess McMillan as she shares her perspective on her hometown, a place she says is “the best training grounds for freeskiing in the world.”
“The American Serengeti” – Jackson Hole is known as the American Serengeti in large part because it is home to a 25,000-acre National Elk Refuge, home to to 10,000 wintering elk. Get an up close and personal look at these majestic half-ton animals.

The campaign will have two phases: a July launch in partnership with Brand USA, which focuses on international markets (where winter travel begins to be booked as far as six months out), and a September rollout domestically.

“Jackson Hole is truly a unique winter destination as it not only offers world class skiing, snowmobiling, wildlife viewing and adventure, but is also the gateway to two of the most spectacular national parks in North America: Grand Teton andYellowstone National Park,” said Kate Sollitt, executive director of the  Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board.

To date, “Orbitz Originals” videos highlighting Cancun, the Cayman Islands, Qatar Airways, Vermont, Western Ireland, New York, Northern Ireland, Bradenton, Florida and Puerto Rico have been viewed over 1.2 million times by travelers seeking inspiration for future trips. Bookings to those destinations have experienced double-digit growth over the life of each campaign.

“Working closely with Richard, who is a renowned travel expert, we want every ‘Orbitz Originals’ series to capture what its really like to visit the destination and inspire travelers to plan a trip,” said Josh Winkler, Orbitz Worldwide vice president of partner marketing. “With Jackson Hole Winter +, you get a real sense of the location and its culture, and Richard provides a unique viewpoint and smart recommendations travelers can take advantage of when booking their getaway.”
