The number of flood victims in Pahang rose slightly to 5,607 Thursday morning from 5,376 on Wednesday.
There are still 1,398 families housed in 71 evacuation centres from 69 areas in six districts in the state as at 8am, said Pahang Police Headquarters’ Flood Operations Room spokesman on Thursday.
The Pekan district still has the highest number of flood victims at 3,501 in 37 evacuation centres followed by Kuantan (842 in five centres), Maran (735 in 13 centres), Temerloh (235 in seven centres), Bera (276 in seven centres) and Rompin (18 in two centres).
