The highly anticipated tournament will see all eyes on the defending champion Victoria Azarenka as she defends her reigning Qatar Total title against the current World Number One champion, Serena Williams. All of the action will be taking place on the courts of the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha between 10th and 16th February.
Launched in 2001, the Qatar Total Open was the first professional women’s tennis tournament to be staged in the Middle East and is this year set to host WTA greats such as Justine Henin, Martina Hingis and Monica Seles.

In order to share in the excitement with travellers from around the world, Qatar Airways is currently running a competition on its Facebook page to give its followers and tennis fans alike the opportunity to win an exciting array of prizes.

Fans must answer just one question in order to be entered into a lucky draw in which they will be eligible to win prizes including two VIP tickets for the semi-final and final matches, a three night stay at the Qryx Rotana Hotel in Doha, and a pair of Qatar Airways Business Class tickets on the Qatar Airways worldwide network.

The six day event follows on the heels of the men’s Exon Mobil Tournament in early January, which saw Rafael Nadal retain his World Number One ranking after he clinched the title in straight sets in front of a packed crowd at the International Tennis and Squash Complex.
Tickets for the forthcoming matches can be purchased by visiting www.qatartennis.org
Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 17 years of operation, currently flying a modern fleet of 129 aircraft to 134 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
