The team are global ambassadors of Great Britain’s Royal Air Force and the nine pilots performed a dramatic 20 minute display, including the red jets’ diamond nine formation.

The Red Arrows were in Dubai as part of a major Middle East tour including performances at the Dubai Airshow, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.

After the performance the pilots attended an exclusive meet and greet at Jumeirah’s Al Qasr hotel, in conjunction with the British Business Group (BBG) and other VIP guests.

Gerald Lawless said: “It was a privilege to witness the Red Arrows perform in front of the Jumeirah properties, the display was incredible and captivated thousands of people across Dubai. The Jumeirah Group was delighted that the BBG chose Al Qasr to host the prestigious event.”

Jonathon Davidson, Chairman of the British Business Group (BBG) said: “It was an amazing event and one that will be remembered for many years to come. It is not only for us at the BBG to give members the chance to meet likeminded business people but also to offer something that will give them great memories. The Red Arrows showed us all why they are the best in the world and gave a most spectacular show.

“Jumeirah proved how great they are in supporting these type of events and we would like to thank Mr Gerald Lawless and his incredible team for providing a beautiful venue and a fantastic Red Arrows ice sculpture centre piece.”

The pilots fly BAE Systems Hawk aircraft and are all from frontline squadrons. Each has previously operated other Royal Air Force fast jets, such as the Tornado or the Typhoon multi-role combat aircraft.
