After the incredible success of 2012, Red Bull Crashed Ice returns to the historic district of Québec City for the World Championship Season Finale on March 16, 2013.
Get up close and personal with these male and female daredevils and find out what it takes to fight to the finish line. Don’t miss the qualifications on March 14 and 15. It will be the ideal occasion to see the whole track and all its obstacles to find the perfect spot for the Championship!
Since 2006, the Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship sets a thrilling stage for fearless competitors from Canada and around the globe. Every year, over 120,000 screaming fans line the cobblestone streets as they watch 80 participants soar down the icy course.
These ice cross downhill mavericks must battle their way to the bottom of a 540-metre urban ice track built with massive drops, hairpin turns, big-air jumps, drop-offs, and gaps at speeds of more than 60 km/h. On March 16, 2013, the world’s ice masters will carve a new era on skates in this heart-pumping and breath-taking spectacle on ice.
Here’s how the competition goes down (literally!). Consecutive heats of four skaters race head-to-head until only four men and four women are left. The top four then fight it out for the first place for both the men’s and women’s divisions.
