Ring in the New Year with 10 Spectacular Celebrations in Tampa Bay

End the year with a splash at The Florida Aquarium’s Aqua-Eve event, complete with hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dessert, unlimited beer and wine, live music and entertainment and access to all Aquarium galleries. Guests also enjoy some of the best views in town for an amazing midnight fireworks display over the channel. For an up-close fireworks thrill, jump aboard the Bay Spirit II for an intimate cruise around the harbor, including drinks, dessert and a champagne toast. Admission to Aqua-Eve is $100 through Dec. 25 and $110 through Dec. 31. Aqua-Eve and Fireworks Cruise Combo tickets are $160 through Dec.25 and $170 through Dec. 31.

For an all-inclusive experience, head to the Bash by the Bay, featuring five bars, top-notch entertainment, party favors, complimentary valet service, fireworks, food stations and more. The event takes place waterfront from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Tickets are $105 in advance by Dec. 31 and $120 at the door. Private reserved booths (for up to six guests) are available for $100.

Ring in the New Year in true Crawley family style and elegance (1920s attire is encouraged) at the Downton Abbey New Year’s Eve Premiere Party. From 7 p.m. until 1 a.m., enjoy live music and dancing, an exciting Downton Abbey-inspired menu, champagne toast at midnight, plus a preview screening of the season 4 premiere of Downton Abbey on Masterpiece. The event takes place at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts. Regularly priced tickets are $160 and are available at the Straz Center Ticket Office or online at www.strazcenter.org.

To enjoy Fireworks from the Water, jump aboard the Tampa Water Taxi Company with drink in hand, departing at 11:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. The price is just $20 per person. Or say bon voyage to 2013 on a Yacht StarShip Fireworks Celebration Cruise. The evening includes an open bar, gourmet food stations, a DJ, party favors, a champagne toast at midnight, and a great view of the fireworks at Channelside. The cruise departs at 10:30 p.m. and returns at 12:30 a.m.

New Year’s Eve Flamenco Dinner Shows are available at two fabulous locations. The family-owned and operated SPAIN Restaurant, located in downtown Tampa, will feature a special show on New Year’s Eve, along with the regular menu and prix-fixe three-course dinner offerings. At Florida’s oldest restaurant, the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City, dancing and traditional Cuban dishes are enjoyed.

Music, dessert and an open bar are just a few of the things you’ll enjoy at Oxford Exchange’s New Year’s Eve Party. From 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., guests will indulge in the eclectic experience that makes up this unique venue. Tickets are $150 per person.

The “Pop The Cork” Party at the Seminole Hard Rock Café Tampa kicks off at 9 p.m. on Dec. 31. Guests 21 and older can enjoy drink tickets, complimentary champagne toast at midnight, Hard Rock Café-inspired appetizers, live entertainment by the Flats and free admission into West Coast Toast until 1 a.m. Tickets are available at any Ticketmaster outlet, ticketmaster.com and the Rock Shop (located at the cafe). Admission is $85 per person in advance, and $95 the day of the event.

Head for the roof to experience Tampa’s most mysterious, elegant and sexy New Year’s Party. The Rooftop Eve (9 p.m. to 2 a.m.) delights guests with complimentary spirits and champagne paired with delectable desserts and live entertainment by Love Struck Robot and DJ Papi – all enjoyed while overlooking historic Hyde Park Village. This year’s theme is the over-the-top and daring Moulin Rouge. Tickets are $175 for general admission. VIP tickets with private cabanas are also available.

Attend a New Year’s Eve Gala or celebrate your own way at Saddlebrook Resort Tampa, featuring the Superpool, Arnold Palmer signature championship golf courses, 45 tennis courts, award-winning restaurants and more. Overnight and event packages are available.
