Inspired by a Chinese girl in chipao (Chinese traditional dress), Pucca, the animated character, has received a lot of love beginning from the early 2000’s. Considering her popularity, the Seoul city government signed an agreement with Vooz (creator of Pucca) to introduce the content for public buses and sites, starting December 15, 2014.
The Pucca buses will be operating until January 31, 2015, and are expected to deliver some smiles and enjoyable attractions to Seoulites, especially for the coming holiday season as well as to celebrate the new year.
In addition to decorating city buses, the city is also utilizing Pucca for public campaigns, such as publicizing the non-smoking policy and public transit etiquette campaigns.
Following the successful lunching of Tayo-featured buses, the Larva character subway train, and Pororo taxis, the Seoul government is continuing to create a more friendly and approachable image of public services.
