Minister St.Ange said Praslin should take ownership of this festival.“We’ve worked tirelessly to put together this event. It’s important that the people of Praslin are part and parcel of this event and they take ownership of it.”

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture said it will be a spectacular ceremony tailored for Praslin around the theme of Coco de Mer. Minister St.Ange used the airwaves to highlight publicly that the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the Praslinois were thinking outside the box when they introduced the use of the dried kernel of the Coco de Mer on the menu for that Saturday of the Fiesta. “We have asked for a couple of kilos of the dried kernel of the Coco de Mer from the one ton our country is exporting to China every year. Using it here is giving value added to the nut Praslin and the Praslinois are producing with all their love,” Minister St.Ange said on live radio. The spotlight of the Praslin Culinary and Arts Fiesta will be the Creole culinary competition at La Domaine de la Reserve.
