South Africa was awarded the prestigious ‘Best Foreign Destination in Rest of the World’ award at India Travel Awards (West) 2014.
The beautiful trophy was presented to Country Manager, Ms. Hanneli Slabber on 25th July 2014 in Pune at a glitzy and glamorous award ceremony graced by the stalwarts of the travel industry.
India Travel Awards is a unique event with four regional editions annually and is based on combined judgment by the jury and votes garnered online
. These awards are supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and esteemed trade bodies such as IATO, PATA, ADTOI, ATOAI and OTOAI to name a few.

South Africa has witnessed an exponential growth in the India market and this fact has been reiterated by the recent arrivals statistics of the country. 1 12 672 Indian tourists visited South Africa between January 2013 to December 2013 which is an increase of 5.5% vis-à-vis the same period in 2012.
