FLO_914_aspect16x9-300x168Florence treats everyone to the magic of Renaissance art, an irresistible shopping experience at high-end boutiques, and the breathtaking view of its festively-lit bridges and streets. Four Seasons Hotel Firenze offers guests the chance to pamper body and soul with its culinary delights, to share moments of leisure with friends and family over a cup of tea, and indulge in the pleasure of a long massage at the exclusive Spa.
Here is a truly special Christmas program in a city equally special, at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze. In the days preceding the most eagerly awaited night of the year, guests can enjoy an advance tasting of some of Chef Vito Mollica’s signature dishes at Il Palagio restaurant by choosing the Waiting For Christmas menu, available until December 23, 2013, including locally-sourced ingredients and traditional recipes with the Chef’s personal twist and original touches. All his creativity will burst on Christmas Eve, at the fish-based menu starring browned salt cod with black chick-pea cream, and lasagna with pecorino cheese cream from the nearby Calvana area in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The Christmas Day feast will includie modern dishes such as tortellini and risotto, capon or sea bass. Domenico Di Clemente’s desserts will certainly have a special place on each guest’s menu: awarded by L’Espresso Guides in the Pastry of the Year section, his creations are pleasing to both the sight and palate.
New Year’s Eve will be celebrated with a double event. The first is held at Il Palagio restaurant, featuring a special menu dotted with exotic touches such as caviar and Dover sole, as well as Italian specialties including scialatielli, ricotta cheese and Calvana beef filet. The second is the Metropolitan Special, a more casual event in the Conventino’s lovely setting with a big party and live music after midnight.
And these are not the only chances guests will be given to indulge in the pleasure of good food. Over Christmas festivities, Christmas Tea Time is a lovely break with the Pastry Chef’s macaroons and tea provided by Florentine tearoom La Via del Tè. At the Lobby Lounge l’Orangerie, for this month only, guests will be able to enjoy a special aperitivo in its two different versions: oysters & Champagne or caviar & vodka featuring Amur caviar served with lively celebration of both traditional and Elite vodka. On Thursday, December 12, 2013, the Metropolitan aperitivo event is back for one night only with a special guest Elite vodka.
This year’s Christmastime program includes, once again, top-quality service with Vito Mollica’s Take Away Menus, dishes specially made for hosts to be comfortably enjoyed at home, including sea bass with basil-flavoured salt crust, slightly roasted Icelandic salt cod, braised beef in Marsala wine sauce, capon stuffed with chestnuts, and typical Italian tortellini in Chianina beef consommé, in addition to many other specialties and dessert by the Hotel’s Pastry Chef.
Christmas holiday brunches on January 1 and 5, 2014 are a feast for the palate, but based on a lighter and quicker menu.
Last but not least, to pamper the soul as well as the taste buds, the Hotel’s Spa offers treatments catered to each individual’s needs. Thanks to Four Seasons Gift Vouchers, whatever the purchaser treats themselves to can make a deluxe gift for their loved ones: a brunch, a romantic dinner in an intimate setting, a Spa treatment, and the most Italian of Christmas desserts, panettone, in the special version and packaging by Four Seasons.
