An invitation issued by the World Indigenous Tourism Alliance (WINTA) and Quebec Aboriginal Tourism (QAT) for case study presentation proposals to Canada’s 4th International Aboriginal Tourism Conference (IATC 2015) has resulted in a strong response from Indigenous, tourism and education sectors.
WINTA Director, Johnny Edmonds said “the presentation proposals are of a very high standard and come from a range of very experienced proponents based in 15 countries in Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania”. “The presentation proposals received covered case studies in 36 countries”, said Mr Edmonds.

QAT General Manager, Dave Laveau said “the IATC 2015 is expected to bring together more than 300 aboriginal tourism representatives, enterprises and organizations from Canada and abroad under the theme Commit to Achieve – The role of commitment in the performance of our industry”.
“The task of selecting case study presentations from such an excellent number of proposals has not been an easy one and we are extremely pleased with the focus that the selected case studies will provide on the conference theme of Commit to Achieve”, said Mr Laveau.
This will be the first time that the conference will be held in Québec on Huron-Wendat territory and with the support of host community Wendake.
