Tourism Minister from Seychelles is joined by H.C. Waven William, Civil Aviation CEO & Air Seychelles General Manager for Corporate Services to present a personal letter to Indian Minister of Civil Aviation

Seychelles-Tourism-BoardThe Indian Hon Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri. Gajapathi Raju last week welcomed Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture at his Offices at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan at Safdarjung Airport of New Delhi.

 

The Seychelles Minister who was on an Official Working Visit to India was joined for this particular meeting with the Indian Civil Aviation Minister by H.E Waven William, the Seychelles High Commissioner based in New Delhi.

Gilbert Faure, the CEO of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), Alan Renaud, the General Manager for Corporate Services at Air Seychelles, Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Benjamine Rose, the PS for Culture and Marco Francis, the Chairman of the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Minister St.Ange had been mandated by Minister Joel Morgan, the Minister responsible for Civil Aviation of Seychelles to deliver a letter to his Indian Counterpart and Mr Gilbert Faure of the SCAA and Alan Renaud of Air Seychelles had travelled to India to be present at this important meeting which was aimed at helping move forward the request by Seychelles for necessary landing rights by Air Seychelles.

After having been welcomed by Shri. Gajapathi Raju, the Hon Minister for Civil Aviation of India, Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles delivered the letter he was carrying from Minister Morgan and then appealed to the Indian Minister for his personal intervention to help move the application by Seychelles.

 

Mr Gilbert Faure of the SCAA and his Indian counterpart were able to exchange notes after the Indian Minister impressed to his side of the delegation to move the dossier.

Minister Alain St.Ange emphasised to the Press in India that this meeting with the Indian Civil Aviation Minister was only to deliver a personal letter sent by his colleague Minister.

“As Tourism Minister it was only my Indian Counterpart I was scheduled to meet with, but as member of the Seychelles Government it was important to present the case Minister Joel Morgan wanted to see reach the highest office of the Civil Aviation of India.

 

The meeting went very well and the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority and Air Seychelles will now proceed with technical meetings with their counterparts as was stated by Minister Shri. Gajapathi Raju.

 

For me it is Mission Accomplished for this Civil Aviation Ministerial meeting” the Seychelles Minister said as he, High Commissioner Waven William, CEO Sherin Naiken, PS Benjamine Rose and Chamber of Commerce Chairman Francis proceeded to the next meeting at the Indian Ministry of Tourism.
